Let It Be: Step Three

Step Three

Performance

Now it’s time to learn the song! Below are all the parts you may need in a pdf format. Please have a look and learn your parts before the end of week 2. You will then be given time in class to rehearse as a group. Before you start, below are some things I want you to consider for your performance assessment task.

  • Musicianship: Communicate with your group! Think about how the song will start and finish. Figure out who is going to solo during the instrumental. Make sure everyone is clear as to what they are doing.
  • Showmanship: When you perform for the class, make an effort to enjoy it! Music should be a fun experience. You could consider some movements or even facial expressions to make your performance more engaging for the rest of the class.
  • Organisation: When it’s your turn to play, be ready! Be tuned BEFORE you play. Set up as quickly as possible, and as quietly as possible. Here is an example for inspiration. There’s some pretty cool haircuts there to also take some inspiration from!
