Australian music: Modified task-Composition

First component

Open this file in GarageBand. A song using loops will open. Feel free to change the loops around. Your task is to sing one of your creative stories you previously wrote, over the song. Try and create a melody that matches the story. For example, you may sing the words in long, drawn out phrases if that part of the story is about sadness. You might like to do some sound effects using your voice! Here is the song as an Mp3, too.

Second component

Using the website, Xtranormal, make a short movie. Choose a setting and some characters. You can either have one or two ‘actors’. Your characters will speak, and say exactly what you have typed in their text box. Your movie should aim to teach the viewer something about singing. Maybe your two characters could be having a conversation about singing, for example:

Character one: I really enjoy singing. I’m naturally good at it.

Character two: Yes, you have good pitch, you always sing in tune!
